What Are Signs That You Need To Lose Weight?

Are you one of those that say I want to lose weight? The truth is, not everyone that thinks he needs to lose weight actually should. Some are just obsessed with weight loss, whereas other do really need to lose weight. What category do you belong?

You know you belong to those who really need to lose weight if you are obesed. Most people think that being obese and being overweight are one and the same. You are only obese if you are thirty or forty pounds overweight. If you find yourself in this shoe, then you really need to lose weight. Sadly, the major concern expressed by most obese people relates to their appearance. But when it comes to obesity, your health and overall wellbeing is even more important than your appearance. This is because, with obesity comes multiple health problems, heart failure being a prominent one. This often leads to death.

Have your clothes become really tight and no longer fit? If you answer yes, then you may have need to lose weight. While it is true that during some periods you could experience slight fluctuation in weight, do not overlook a rapid weight gain. With many people, weight gain come in big leap. Small weight gain gradually becomes large, thus endangering your overall wellbeing. When this happens, begin making arrangement to join a fitness club or develop a daily or weekly exercise routine. Doing this would bring four or more benefits. For one thing, your appearance and self esteem would greatly improve. Secondly, you would actually lose weight. Thirdly, your overall health and wellbeing would improve in no small measure, and lastly you would get to save the cash you would have used to buy new clothes.

What if you have been told by your friends that you really need to lose weight? They may have a point. Consider who complains about your weight. Is the person really concerned about you overall well-being? Is he being reasonable? Is the recommendation from your doctor? That being the case, do not overlook their suggestion. Do not become embarrassed when you are told that you need to lose weight. Such recommendation coming from close friends is usually done with your interest at heart. So don’t turn a deaf ear to their recommendation because they are concerned, not only about you appearance but also about your health.

A fourth sign that you may need to lose weight is when you notice that tasks that you normally carry out with ease now cause so much tension. While it is true that becoming out of breath from simple activities may not necessarily be a weight problem, there is a chance that it is. Your stamina would very likely increase with a little loss of weight resulting from a good exercise routine.

This list of signs that shows you need to lose weight is definitely not exhaustive but a good beginning. Bear in mind that caution should be applied when you are thinking of starting an exercise routine. Consult your doctor before proceeding. This has the added benefit of helping you get the best out of your weight loss program.
